- Positive character traits Confidence, courage, loyalty to his principles Negative traits narcissism, cunning, the calculating, selfishness, vindictiveness. It is not considered a strange opinion, used to live only for themselves. He never felt a sense of pity for his victims, and firmly believes that his brother had made his life boring and meaningless. Somewhere in the depths of the soul (if it is a vampire) is capable of love and compassion, but such quality seldom occur, and he tried to skip. He loves the process of hunting, believed that human beings are created in order to eat them. The manner of communication, habits, etc. Optimistic, loves to have fun. Voice of calm, it is almost never heard anger, but that does not mean that he did not feel. He likes to miss a couple of evenings a glass of whiskey - his favorite drink (of course, except for blood). Strengths and weaknesses of the main weak point - memories, Catherine, of the past

- Childhood and adolescence spent with brother Stephen and his parents in the family estate of Salvatore in the Mystic Falls, Virginia. The brothers were friends, although very different from each other's character. Friendly Atmosphere abruptly shattered girl - Catherine. She came to stay with their estate. The brothers fell in love with a beautiful girl. She answered both of them to reciprocate, but the choice to not bring herself - she liked to play with both of them. Catherine was a vampire, but this guys know, when it passed the time. She turned them both into vampires, giving the ring, which should protect them from sunlight. The next day, Katherine was killed - the mystery of her death is not entirely clear, since both conceal the full picture of what happened and did not want to remember it. It is known only that she was burned. This was a turning point. Brothers, Salvatore became bitter enemies. And if Stephen quietly dislike Damon, considering that something can still be corrected, then Damon hated his brother and tried to ruin his life throughout the years of existence. Stephen decided to live closer to the people fed only on animals, trying to save a little of humanity. But Damon did not need, he preferred the world of darkness and murder. Cleverly covering its tracks, he moved from town to town, sit in one place he was not interested. Preferring to big cities - where in his opinion much more fun - he traveled around the world. Until he learned that his brother, Stephen returned to his home in Mystic Falls. Damon, too, decided to follow him. Dark beauty has always been a cause of interest in girls, so Damon never suffered from lack of female attention. Eyes, besides possessing the power of hypnosis, seems remarkably calm, though they may be hiding a storm of emotions. Prefers a free dress, jeans, shirts and almost constant attribute - leather jacket. Favorite color of clothes - black. So it is more convenient to go unnoticed in the dark.
